  • Proven to provide an 89% cleaner catheter tip7 BALLARD* Turbo-Cleaning Closed Suction System from AVANOS, which features technology from BALLARD* trach care, is the only catheter that retracts within a unique and isolated turbulent cleaning chamber. The turbulent cleansing action results in an 89% cleaner catheter tip compared to a standard closed suction system7. This reduced colonisation may help reduce risk of VAE and VAP in your ventilated patients. Manipulation of the ventilator circuit can increase cross-contamination – a leading cause of VAP.7 To help protect patients, a closed ventilator circuit is recognised as a best practice in the prevention of VAP3,5 to maintain ventilation and oxygen therapy throughout suctioning, preventing approximately 50% of the lung volume fall observed when suctioning after disconnection from the ventilator.4  Closed suctioning is a best practice that protects patients and caregivers.3,5 REFS: For references please refer to attached brochure - View Closed Suction Systems Brochure here
  • Mindray Mindray BC-700 Series 5-Part Differential Analyser
Auto Haematology Analyser with ESR BC-700 Series is a revolutionary haematology analyser series that incorporates both complete blood count (CBC) and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) tests. This series, including two open vial models BC-700/BC-720 and two autoloader models BC-760/BC-780, is designed to empower medium-volume laboratories with advanced diagnostics technologies that are applied in the premium products. In addition, it saves the costs that would otherwise be incurred for the purchase, maintenance, consumables, and storage space of a separate ESR analyser. Compared with the traditional Westergren method, this method performs better in quality traceability, repeatability, speed, safety, and level of automation.
  • Biolog logo Biolog ID Station
The ID Station™ system, together with our identification microplates, can identify a wide range of environmental and pathogenic organisms across diverse fields of microbiology. How it Works The ID Station system identifies a wide range of environmental and pathogenic organisms across diverse fields of microbiology. Nearly 3,000 species of bacteria, yeast and filamentous fungi can be identified by using Biolog’s identification microplates (GEN III, AN, YT, or FF) and database. Some bacteria can be identified in as little as 1 hour. Just prepare a cell suspension and inoculate the appropriate microplate. After inoculation and incubation, the microplate is placed into the ID Station for analysis. The unique metabolic pattern generated by the organism is recorded and compared to thousands of identification profiles in the Biolog database. The instrument takes optical density readings at two wavelengths to quantify color reactions consistently and accurately in the microplate wells. Biolog’s patented redox chemistry makes use of different carbon compounds including sugars, carboxylic acids, amino acids, and peptides to provide an unparalleled wealth of discriminating biochemical characterisations. This diverse set of tests enables our systems to identify microorganisms that other methods misidentify or fail to identify.

  • Certa Blue - Rapid Microbiology Technology CertaBlue™ - Rapid Microbiology
Why wait? TECHNOPATH partners with CertaBlue for their rapid microbiology technology. CertaBlue is based on rapid detection of several metabolic processes that take place within the growing organism. The system can detect colour changes through highly sensitive optical sensors. All vials are ready to use, prefilled with media and equipped with CertaBlue sensors. In most cases, the vials can be inoculated with a non-diluted high volume sample. The CertaBlue vials contain an optical sensor, which can detect carbon dioxide as the universal indicator for microbial growth. The sensor is placed in the bottom of the vial, where it directly detects carbon dioxide changes. CertaBlue sensors are only permeable for gases. Liquids, dyed / heavily coloured products and other particles can’t falsify results. What can CertaBlue offer you:
    • Simplified test procedures
    • Ready-to-use vials including media and CertaBlue sensor
    • Test procedure consists of just adding your sample to the vial
    Rapid Results:
    • Results in hours instead of days
    • Real-time detection and early warning of positive samples
    • Ensures a quick and safe product release
    • Better recovery of injured and / or damaged microorganisms
